Here are some ways that you can get involved with Possibility Place!
CLASSROOM VOLUNTEER
We are looking for men and women from the community who are interested in assisting our teachers and helping our Pals work on and reach their goals. We are also looking for help when we volunteer in the community, take fun field trips, and have special events!
PEN PALS
When you choose to “Be a Pal to a Pal'' you will be matched with a Pal and receive a quarterly handwritten note or picture from your Pal. Pals love receiving notes or cards back from you. It encourages them to know someone cares about them and is thinking of them. What a fun way to bring back the art of pen pals!
FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE
The fundraising committee is a once a month commitment, where we will work on our special events such as PossiBOWLity, Scramble for Possibilities, and Night of Possibilities. We need a diverse group of volunteers for this committee.
SPECIAL LEADERS
If you have a special talent or knowledge that you think our Pals may be interested in, we want to hear from you! We are always looking for musicians, artists, fitness instructors, etc. to come and share their gift with our adults to help them grow and have new experiences.
Background Check
For our volunteers that are hands-on with our Pals, the state requires us to do a thorough TBI background check and registry check. The cost is $30.00 and we ask that the volunteer cover this cost as we are a small non-profit organization. This can be paid below.
